Compare and Contrast



The world in the turtle's back and Genesis 1.


 Similarities:

- In the beginning there was no land, no animals, no world, no humans.
- That above of the ocean it was a great void of air.
- That the sky world was separated from the ocean.


Differences:

- In the beginning there was not a man or a woman.
- In the bible any woman fell through a hole.
- In the bible there's only one God and in the story there are many gods.


Opposites:

- Any wife was expecting a child because in the beginning of the bible there were no humans.
- In the bible, below the sky there was no other world.
- In the bible the animals didn't save the woman's life.

In this essay i will be explaining the summary, also the author’s point of view, the values that I found and also the anti values.  So this is a story written by Elizabeth Gaskell that is called Christmas storms and sunshine. So this story starts with a confrontation between two important families that are the Jenkins and the Hodgsons. Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Hodgson are the two compositors of the main English newspaper in the town, Mr hodgson was the creator of the Examiner and Mr. Jenkins was the creator of the flying post so that’s why they are always fighting because they want to have the best newspaper. The problem is not only with the men it involves the women too because they dislike each other and often fight too. These two families are always like trying to have the same things and also they live in the same building so plus all their problems they have to see each other every day in other words they try to be equal because that’s how they can like have the competition....

ESSAY N. 1

Values trustworthness and thankful applied to From The Diary Of Samuel Pepys.   First of all we must be clear about the meaning of these two values. Trustworthiness that consists in the ability to be relied on as honest and truthful. Thankful consists in expressing gratitude and relief. At the beginning of the story I didn’t see the presence of these two values even in the characters because it starts talking about the coronation of the king and all the things that he had and for me that is very individualistic because it only talks about him. But later I could see one of the values in the story   when Pepys was thankful because he could be in the coronation of the king Charles II   and see how was it, what happened there so he really enjoy that time and was a great moment. Some educational methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training and directed research. Nowadays exist many opportunities in which the kids can study by several methods, there are private schools, that are also known as independent schools, non-governmental or nonstate schools. In these schools they have to pay. In case the parents don´t have the resources to pay a private school they can matriculate their kids in a public school, that is a state school, no-fee school.
