CHRISTMAS


It is assumed that christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. It is  celebrated on december 25.

Nowadays christmas it’s more than a religious tradition because all the people is focus on the gifts that they will receive or the clothes they are going to wear that day.
Christmas is now a commercial date because industries make the best toys, phones, videogames, computers or any electronic device , make beautiful clothes, shoes, jewerly, pants, purses etc.
 Also the sellers offer many discounts to get the buyer’s attention.
Some people think that they can buy the heart or the love of their friends or families by giving expensive gifts, so they buy a lot of things to make them happy, but they really forget the real meaning of christmas that is to enjoy with their families, apologize with the others, give thanks to God for all the blessings that He has given to us.


People should stop thinking that christmas is only for receive gifts and spend money, because in the future their sons will never know the real meaning of this time that is awesome, because the most important thing is to shared with the family and notice that they will support you in your hole life no matter what.

In this essay i will be explaining the summary, also the author’s point of view, the values that I found and also the anti values.  So this is a story written by Elizabeth Gaskell that is called Christmas storms and sunshine. So this story starts with a confrontation between two important families that are the Jenkins and the Hodgsons. Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Hodgson are the two compositors of the main English newspaper in the town, Mr hodgson was the creator of the Examiner and Mr. Jenkins was the creator of the flying post so that’s why they are always fighting because they want to have the best newspaper. ESSAY N. 1

Values trustworthness and thankful applied to From The Diary Of Samuel Pepys.   First of all we must be clear about the meaning of these two values. Trustworthiness that consists in the ability to be relied on as honest and truthful. Thankful consists in expressing gratitude and relief. At the beginning of the story I didn’t see the presence of these two values even in the characters because it starts talking about the coronation of the king and all the things that he had and for me that is very individualistic because it only talks about him. But later I could see one of the values in the story   when Pepys was thankful because he could be in the coronation of the king Charles II   and see how was it, what happened there so he really enjoy that time and was a great moment. Later a tragedy happens and appears another two values that are compassion and trustworthiness because all the people that live in the town help each other to get out of this problem. The process of democratic elections in Colombia. Democracy is a system of government in which the citizens exercise power directly or elect representatives from among themselves to form a governing body. Also democracy consists in some elements like: a political system for choosing and replacing the government through free and fair elections, the active participation of the people, the protection of the human rights of all citizens.
